I love my uni project atm but working in a group is hard and I seriously have NO idea what is going on, what they are doing and what I am supposed to do so I have no motivation at all atm to do any uni work but today I think I just need to get off my bottom and just do some!
Anyway I finally have an outfit post for you guys!!! I must admit having a blog and it being my platform I obviously have an idea of what I want my pictures and everything to look like but I just

VLOG #6 Oscar does his first tattoo on me!!?

I have waited for the opportunity to tattoo for a while, I have finally cracked on with my first ever 2.

I started on a geometric array of shapes on my bud Delphs shin, he is sort of teaching me how to do it, It was an awesome experience and an incredible art form that I shall be learning over this year until I become a lot better, however I know loads of people take up tattooing every day, but i think when it comes down to the nitty inkky we have to learn the steps on how to set up how to clean down, sterilise ect, but I personally feel being in the driving seat has opened my mind to my hand really pushing this new idea that I can really do thiss. I have been drawing for 17 years now so I would definitely say that I'm halfway there with regards to becoming a great tattoo artist. I think after going straight into it I now know that tattooing straight lines is one of the hardest parts, but after my second one which in turn wasn't free hand, but I understood the distance between the needle and the skin as well as the speed you should spend on doing each part. Watching it back myself I can critique my run through. I HOPE YOU ENJOY.

INTERVIEW WITH THE IDLE MAN

Starting a blog and turning into your own brand or somewhat like a business is not easy, many people think they can start a blog and bam they make money, become famous etc but I promise you it doesn't work like that and tbh if that's all you want to start a blog for they are NOT the right reasons. I started my blog years ago before blogging became a huge thing, it was created as a diary for my family to see and just do what I love which is write and fashion. Being a blogger in Dubai I was lucky enough to make somewhat of a name for myself, work with some big brands, know all the PR and be nominated for awards but moving to England meant I had to start from the bottom again.

Starting from scratch definitely isn't easy and it takes a lot of hard work to climb those steps, I go to uni, have a relationship etc while trying to do my blog and trust me it's is hard but I love it so hard work pays off. When I get emails from brands or PR etc and they have found me it really shows the hard work is paying off, so when I got an email from The Idle Man asking if they could interview me for their website I was blown away, little me? wanting to interview me? They asked me questions about mens fashion which I answered but now the interview is out I have seen that they did their research on me and put it in the interview so thank you so much!!

Be sure to read my interview here http://theidleman.com/manual/web-roundup/louisa-northcote-chats-to-the-idle-man/ and check out The Idle Man because they have some gorgeous pieces for all you boys out there!!

Before white bleach hair and now..

OMG for me writing this post is kind of a big thing because I have had my hair the same colour for many years, and if you know me well you would know just how bad I am with changing my hair - even just getting a trim! After years of doing my roots and a lot of deliberation I finally decided to take the plunge and actually dye my hair a NATURAL colour - a word that was very much in the past, natural hair was not something I remembered and after being called a barbie doll for years was definitely not something I was known for.

Anyway as 2016 came in I knew it had to be done - new year, new me. On January 12th 2016 at 3:00PM I stepped into Toni and Guy ready to say goodbye to my white, long locks. First of all my hair was dyed orange, yes orange - like the colour of the poster paint you used to use at primary school, at the moment my hair was that colour of the rainbow poor Oscar walked in with a shocked face trying to keep calm but freaking out inside, thinking that was the finished thing, I reassured him it wasn't. The reason they dyed it orange was so my hair didn't turn green when they dyed it - weird science of hair dye that I don't fully understand but think of it as like mixing purple colouring pencil with yellow to make a neutral. After that you can basically guess the rest of the process: dye my hair, wait, wash it, cut it, dry it and verdict time. I DIDN'T like it! I LOVED the cut but hated the colour - I thought I would still be an ashy blonde but I was back to more of my natural colour yet now a week later I like it and am so happy I did it - new me. Want to see the transformation be sure to watch the video and see!! Also please be sure to subscribe and give it a BIG THUMBS UP.

Designer Love/Inspiration: Craig Green LCM A/W16

Yesterday I did a post about one of my favourite women's designers, London based called Faustine Steinmetz (be sure to see the post before). LCM is on at the moment at London, LCM stands for London Collections Men, it like London Fashion Week but about menswear and happens a month before London Fashion Week. I will probably be going to see a few presentations on Monday but eventhough I may not be sitting there watching the shows and presentations in person as a student

Designer Love/Inspiration : Faustine Steinmetz

Before Uni I went to art college and studied photography, history of art and textiles. For my last collection I used denim and one of the the designers I used for inspiration was Faustine Steinmetz, now being a fashion buying student I still like to look out for designers I like and put in a little folder as I may of the opportunity to buy their items when I graduate and become an actual buyer.
